Shave hair on my stomache!?

I have dark brown hair and since puberty I have been growing some on my stomache... It's not from my hair down there because its not anywhere across my hips or in between... I dont think you can see it if you just saw my stomache but someone right in front of me would be able to see it! What are my options... I don't rlly want to shave because I don't want it to grow back darker and prickly... HELP!? will pick best answer!
