Embarrasing question. help :/?

alright so this is about my pubic hair :P i trimmed and shaved it all off a few days ago. but it is starting to grow back super prickly, this has happened before but i let it grow out and it was fine again. BUT, my boyfriend is coming over tomorrow and he likes it shaved, not prickly like it is. if i try shaving it at this point, it will be even worse. is there anyway to make it smooth at this point? help? ha-ha thanks!
