Armpit Hair. Help? Please?

So my armpit hair is dark and coarse. I cant wax it, don't ask why. A friend suggested tweezing them but I'm not about to sit there and pluck every single hair under my arm. Really my only option is to shave but when I shave it's still dark and prickly. It's never smooth. I've tried different razors, shaving cream etc.. So I need help,, how can I get smooth underarms??????
