POLL: How often should you shave your pubic hair?

I shave mine once a week, because if i shave more often I get bumps/ ingrown hairs. But I hate having a prickly p*ssy the rest of the week. Any suggestions to avoid bumps? Don't tell me not to shave, I have to shave so I won't have a bush coming out of my bikini in the summer.
