Shaved my pubic hair (girl) and it hurts like a b**ch!! HELP?

I'm a girl and I shaved my pubic hair for the first time the other day. I applied conditioner and trimmed before shaving and used LOTS of shaving cream. But since my razor only had 3 blades, I couldn't get a super close shave, there are still tiny tiny pieces of hair. You can barely see them, but they aren't soft at all, they're very coarse, thick, and sort of prickly, and they hurt like a b**ch if I just rub them against a towel from drying off from the shower. I applied lotion after I did it, but god it hurts so bad! I need help! Is there anything I can do to get it to stop hurting?!!
