Weird prickly skin that feels like you have needles being stuck into you?

hi does anyone ever have really prickly skin,it feels like you have needles been stuck into you and can become quite sore. I have had this condition for months and some days it drives me up the wall and can make me more agitated as i feel like i have bugs crawling over me. Have been to docs and says there is nothing wrong with me and it could be stress .
